Joomkit worked with the International Commitee on Searfarer's Welfare (ICSW) to put together an online training toolkit. The ICSW train staff who visit ships all over the world to befriend seafarers, provide advice, and enable them to contact home. So far they have trained over 900 ship visitors. In addition they also produce and circulate information for seafarers on improving health and disease prevention for things like HIV and malaria.
Carers in Hertfordshire is a great charity that aims to make sure that all those who are carers of people in Hertfordshire are valued, recognised and supported in their caring role. When Joomkit started work with the charity, their website had a hard to use front-end that made for an unwelcome user experience. In addition there was no CMS and the site was made from static HTML. This limited development and had the hinderance of a technial learning curve for anyone who wanted to try and make cosmetic or layout changes.
CPRE is a charity that works to protect England’s countryside for the future. They believe that a stunning, thriving countryside is important for all the people in the UK, no matter where they live. Over time the main site and national sites had become hard to manage and the brand was being affected with different interpretations of their brand springing up on various digital channels. Joomkit started working with CPRE to create a new online brand and strategy.
Carers UK is a charity that was set up in order to assist the millions of people who are carers for friends and family in need. As time has gone by, the web has become a crucial part of the charity's abilty to function and communicate with its wide membership base. We started work with Carers UK as their web presence and brand had become dispersed and hard to manage with many national sites. It was time to get everything on the table and rethink it from scratch.
CND is a well-known organisation that campaigns to bring an end to the nuclear weapons of Great Britain. They are working to secure abolition of nuclear missiles on a global scale and wish to create genuine security for future generations. CND is funded entirely by its members and supporters, which is why a solid web presence is so important to them - not only for campaigning, but also for raising vital funds.
want2donate.org is an affiliate website which targets audiences who want to donate to charity. The site benefits various UK charity partners by acting as a conduit for potential donors and supporters to reach different kinds of non-profits across the sector. Most large UK charities particpate in affiliate programmes in order to drive new supporters and donations. Many well-known charities are listed on the site such as WWF, Oxfam, ActionAid, World Vision, WSPA, National Trust, Cancer Research UK and many more.
Kicking off a campaign to coincide with the 10 year anniversary of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325, No Women No Peace was an express project delivery with highly individual design and functionality.The campiagn starts with a competition - which is where we are now at the time of writing - them moves on to full blown invitation to action. So this site had to be ready to change to a campaign site with all its associated functionality once the competition had finished and it moves into phase 2.
The International Committee on Seafarers' Welfare needed to create an awards site in three weeks. Never one to shy from the task Joomkit stepped up for a design and delivery process with a 3 week deadline. Rowan and Alan knuckled down.
Labour Behind the Label (LBL) is a migration story. An organisation that was already using a CMS courtesy of hard working staff but really needed to to take it beyond the box to create a bigger impact. With a little help from Joomkit we were able to utilise the technology they know they had but were time starved to understand and put to work.
